Stay safe online with internet security tips this week

Sunday June 6 marks the beginning of National Cyber Security Awareness Week, a government initiative created to help Australian internet users become more aware of the things they can do to improve online security.

The Stay Smart Online website has been set up to keep Australians aware of the practises they can do to stay safe.

It’s not hard to protect yourself and your family on the internet, and this week is about encouraging those simple things. Simple things like making sure you have internet security software and keeping it up to date.

Remember that internet security is needed on most internet connected devices, which is why it’s important to keep these practises when you’re on a Windows PC, Apple Mac, or even a mobile phone.

Every day next week (June 6 – 11), we’ll be putting up a new security tip to help you stay safe online.
